Micro Retwist (No Style) | Kinkology Locs & Natural Haircare

Q: How long does a Micro Retwist (No Style) appointment take?

Appointment length varies by density and length but typically runs 45 to 90 minutes. We assess hair at arrival to give a more exact timeframe and work efficiently to respect your schedule.

Q: Will my current style be altered during Micro Retwist (No Style)?

No added styling is performed. The retwist secures new growth which may temporarily change texture at the root, but we do not alter length, parting, or finished styles during this service.

Q: How often should I schedule a Micro Retwist (No Style)?

Frequency depends on growth rate and desired neatness. Most clients return every 2 to 6 weeks. We recommend a consultation to personalize timing based on your loc maturity and lifestyle.

Q: Can you perform Micro Retwist (No Style) on all loc types?

Yes, we work with starter and mature locs across textures. Certain extensions or extremely fragile locs may need a tailored approach; bring photos or book a consultation to confirm suitability.

Q: What products are used during Micro Retwist (No Style) service?

We use a professional sulfate-free shampoo, nourishing conditioner, and light locking cream or gel as needed. Products are chosen to cleanse, hydrate, and hold without buildup or harsh residues.

Q: Do you offer aftercare instructions for Micro Retwist (No Style)?

Yes. We provide specific aftercare: avoid getting retwists wet for 24–48 hours when possible, use recommended oils sparingly, sleep on silk, and schedule follow-ups to maintain neatness.

5 Stars!

I became a transfer client after getting loc extensions in November, and Nolette exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I booked with her, I knew I was in excellent hands. Before my appointment, she took the time to personally call me and ask detailed questions about my hair, health, and overall goals. We had an in-depth conversation about my locs, my care routine, and maintenance needs, which immediately made me feel valued and understood.

On the day of my appointment, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The salon’s decor, especially the exquisite artwork on the walls, created a calming and stylish environment. But what stood out most was the level of service. Nolette thoroughly washed my hair, ensuring it was impeccably clean and completely dry. She didn’t simply leave me under the dryer; she stayed attentive throughout, checking in to make sure I was comfortable and didn’t need anything.

The professionalism extended beyond Nolette, too. The other stylists carried themselves with pride and passion for their work. The salon was spotless, organized, and truly reflected a high standard of care.

Overall, my experience was phenomenal. Nolette’s expertise, attention to detail, and dedication to her clients made me feel like a priority. She also allowed me to ask a a lot of questions which I appreciate her wanting to educate the client. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for exceptional loc care!...more

I flew into Atlanta & the appointment I had made initially was a dub. I called after looking up Locticians & Noelette welcomed me to her shop whole heartedly. Not only was she a breath of fresh air while conversing but she also provided me with great loc maintenance tips while retwisting my locs. I felt very comfortable from the moment I walked & left feeling like my name, happi !! Thank you again, Noelette !!...more
