Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Retouch Single Process half an ich or less.
This service covers roots only — starting at half an inch of regrowth — using a single-process color to match your existing shade. It excludes full-length coloring or additional techniques. A consultation confirms suitability and final pricing.
Most retouch appointments range from about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on hair density, texture, and processing time. Your consultation will provide a more exact timeframe and note any additional styling needs.
When performed by trained stylists using proper formulas and techniques, root retouches are safe for locs and natural hair. We assess elasticity and porosity during consultation and recommend alternatives if hair shows sensitivity or prior damage.
We generally recommend waiting four to six weeks before additional color processing, depending on hair condition. Your consultation will give a personalized timeline; extensions or prior chemical history can affect safe scheduling.
Price starts at half an inch of new growth and covers roots only. Additional regrowth beyond that, toners, corrective work, or full-length coloring incur extra charges. A consultation is required to confirm scope and final pricing.
Arrive with clean, dry hair and avoid heavy oils or buildup. Bring photos of your desired shade and any recent color history. Notify us of scalp sensitivities or medications; consultation will outline preparation and aftercare.
